2025 SYDNEY KNIFE SHOW

We’re incredibly disappointed to announce that the 2025 Sydney Knife Show has been cancelled.

Last week, KAA representatives met with NSW Police and Rosehill Gardens management. At that meeting, a range of mandatory risk and security measures were presented—including user-pays police (at KAA expense), locked display cases, bag checks, stab-resistant security vests, and new exhibitor compliance rules.

These conditions were serious and would dramatically increase the cost and complexity of the event. NSW Police also advised they had submitted their concerns and risk assessment of our event to the Minister for Police and Counter-terrorism.

After careful modelling and advice, it became clear that going ahead would risk both the success of the Sydney show and the future of the Association. The version of the show being proposed does not align with the values or experience we wish to offer our community.

We know this news will be disappointing to many. Please know this decision was not made lightly. We’re exploring alternative opportunities to bring a show back to Sydney in 2026.

A Special General Meeting for members will be called soon to share a full update.

Thanks for your continued support.
